The Cherry Blossom season only lasts a few days in North Japan. One day, the trees are are all bright pink, and by the weekend its all gone…. so trying to plan a portrait around the blossoms is very difficult. Plus adding in the weather issues here, and how it can still be quite cold come May, its nearly impossible.
We talked about it over email for a few weeks, trying to work out when the blossoms would hit when there was decent weather. Being that I bring alot of lights with me, the wind and rain is always a concern…but we really lucked out. Vanessa picked the perfect location and time of day and her kids were absoloutly perfect for photography… totally hammed it up!
Below are a few examples of the day!
